Manage Senders
Create and manage verified sender identities for your email campaigns.
A sender is a verified email address on one of your domains. Each sender represents a unique "From" address you can use when sending emails.
Sender Components
| Component | Example |
|---|---|
| Email Address | hello@yourdomain.com |
| Display Name | Acme Support Team |
| Reply-To (Optional) | support@yourdomain.com |
Creating a Sender
Before creating a sender, verify your domain with DKIM records. Senders inherit verification status from their parent domain.
You can only create senders on domains that have completed DKIM verification.
- Navigate to Dashboard → Senders
- Click Add Sender
- Select a verified domain from the dropdown
- Enter the local part (e.g.,
hellofor hello@domain.com) - Add a display name recipients will see
- (Optional) Configure a Reply-To address
Verification Status
Sender verification is tied to domain verification. There's no separate verification process for individual senders.
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| ✓ Verified | Domain's DKIM records are active |
| ↻ Pending | Waiting for domain verification |
Syncing Status: If your domain was verified after creating a sender, use the Sync with Domain action to update the sender's verification status.
Default Sender
The default sender is automatically used when sending campaigns or using API endpoints that don't specify a sender.
Setting a Default: Click the actions menu (⋮) next to any sender and select Set as Default.
Only one sender can be default at a time. The previous default will be automatically unset.
Reply-To Configuration
The Reply-To field lets you route email replies to a different address than the sender.
| Use Case | From Address | Reply-To Address |
|---|---|---|
| Support Emails | noreply@domain.com | support@domain.com |
| Marketing | campaigns@domain.com | hello@domain.com |
Default Behavior: If Reply-To is not set, replies automatically go to the sender's email address.
Best Practices
Use Descriptive Display Names
✅ "Acme Support Team" or "Sarah from Acme" instead of ❌ "noreply@acme.com"
Configure Reply-To for No-Reply Addresses
If using noreply@ or donotreply@ addresses, always set a Reply-To so customers can reach you.
Verify Domains First
Complete domain DKIM verification before creating senders to ensure immediate verification.
